Abstract -- The great theories of the twentieth century, such as quantum physics, cybernetics, systems theory, synergetics, molecular biology, bioelectronics didn't leave psychology unaffected. Quantum physics is not only at the root of most of the achievements of electronics, solid-state physics, laser science, nuclear physics, biochemistry and molecular biology, but also forms the foundation of psychology. This way of interpreting the mental phenomena shows that man is not only a purely biological construct, but that bioelectronic, biochemical and informational processes also play a role. They are responsible for the development of the mental processes of man. Man's biological system uses for communication not only the biochemical means, but also electromagnetic and acoustic waves, spin fields and bioplasma. An important role in the history of research into the link between the plasma and the life processes has been played by the works of Sedlak, Iniuszyn and Zona. Bioplasma is a state of mutually interacting interconnected fields and positively and negatively charged particles in an organic semiconductor. Bioplasma is seated in the protein semiconductors, or piezoelectric organic compounds. To have charged particles and excited states in both plasma and in the body, it is necessary to provide energy in various forms. This process is done by the chemical release of energy through the metabolic processes, and through the provision of energy from the outside, through the human senses. Bioplasma is a tangible medium of life and is the ground of consciousness.

Abstract -- Recent biomineralization research has identified calcite microcrystals within the human pineal gland, distinct from the commonly observed hydroxyapatite concretions. These crystals, measuring less than 20 micrometers in length, exhibit piezoelectric properties capable of electromechanical transduction in the frequency range of modern telecommunications (500 MHz to 2.5 GHz). This paper synthesizes the empirical findings of Baconnier, Lang, and colleagues with our theoretical framework of consciousness mathematics, proposing that the pineal microcrystals function as threshold gates interfacing between the body’s bioplasmic field and external electromagnetic environments. We demonstrate how the piezoelectric response’s binary nature creates an irreducible threshold that cannot be gradually corrupted, and how this mechanism may explain ancient traditions’ consistent identification of the pineal region as the seat of higher consciousness. The integration with bioplasma research suggests a complete transceiver architecture wherein consciousness both receives and transmits coherent frequency information through crystalline
geometric structure.

Calcite microcrystals in the pineal gland of the human brain: first physical and chemical studies

Abstract -- A new form of biomineralization has been studied in the pineal gland of the human brain. It consists of small crystals that are less than 20 microm in length and that are completely distinct from the often observed mulberry-type hydroxyapatite concretions. A special procedure was developed for isolation of the crystals from the organic matter in the pineal gland. Cubic, hexagonal, and cylindrical morphologies have been identified using scanning electron microscopy. The crystal edges were sharp whereas their surfaces were very rough. Energy dispersive spectroscopy showed that the crystals contained only the elements calcium, carbon, and oxygen. Selected area electron diffraction and near infrared Raman spectroscopy established that the crystals were calcite. With the exception of the otoconia structure of the inner ear, this is the only known nonpathological occurrence of calcite in the human body. The calcite microcrystals are probably responsible for the previously observed second harmonic generation in pineal tissue sections. The complex texture structure of the microcrystals may lead to crystallographic symmetry breaking and possible piezoelectricity, as is the case with otoconia. It is believed that the presence of two different crystalline compounds in the pineal gland is biologically significant, suggesting two entirely different mechanisms of formation and biological functions. Studies directed toward the elucidation of the formation and functions, and possible nonthermal interaction with external electromagnetic fields are currently in progress.

Forget LASIK: Safer, cheaper vision correction without lasers or incisions
Scientists are developing a possible alternative to LASIK that reshapes the cornea without cutting it or using a laser. The technique uses a small electric potential and a specially shaped platinum lens to temporarily soften the cornea, allowing it to be molded in about a minute.

...Hill and collaborator Brian Wong are studying a technique called electromechanical reshaping (EMR). Rather than physically removing tissue, EMR uses a small electric potential to temporarily alter the chemical environment inside the tissue.
"The whole effect was discovered by accident," explains Wong, a professor and surgeon at the University of California, Irvine. "I was looking at living tissues as moldable materials and discovered this whole process of chemical modification."
The approach takes advantage of the chemistry that helps tissues maintain their shape.
The cornea contains large amounts of collagen, a structural protein also found in skin, cartilage, tendons, and other tissues. Within collagen-rich tissue, electrically charged components attract one another and help hold the structure firmly in place.
Because these tissues also contain a large amount of water, applying an electric potential can change their pH. The pH scale measures how acidic or basic something is. Lowering the pH makes the tissue more acidic and temporarily weakens some of the electrical attractions that keep its structure rigid.
During that brief window, the tissue becomes easier to reshape. Once its normal pH returns, those interactions are restored and the tissue can remain in its new form.
Researchers had previously used EMR to reshape cartilage-rich rabbit ears and to modify scars and skin in pigs. The cornea was an especially intriguing target because its precise curvature determines how effectively the eye focuses light.
For the new experiments, the researchers built specialized platinum "contact lenses" designed to act as molds for the desired corneal shape.
They placed the lenses over rabbit eyeballs immersed in a saline solution intended to mimic natural tears. Because platinum conducts electricity, the lens also functioned as an electrode. When a small electric potential was applied, it produced a carefully controlled change in pH inside the cornea.
Within about a minute, the curvature of the cornea shifted to match the shape of the platinum lens.
That is roughly comparable to the amount of time involved in the laser portion of LASIK, but the experimental EMR method required no incision and potentially could use simpler, less expensive equipment.
The researchers tested the method on 12 rabbit eyeballs. Ten were treated as though they had myopia, or nearsightedness.
In every one of those "myopic" eyes, EMR changed the cornea enough to reach the intended focusing power. In practical terms, that type of optical change would be expected to improve vision if the same effect could eventually be reproduced safely in a living eye.
Importantly, the cells in the treated eyes survived the procedure. The researchers achieved this by carefully controlling the pH gradient so the chemical changes were large enough to reshape the cornea without causing excessive damage.
The experiments also hinted at another possible use.
In separate tests, researchers found that EMR might be able to reverse some chemical-caused cloudiness to the cornea -- a condition that is currently only treatable through a complete corneal transplant...

Forget LASIK: Safer, cheaper vision correction without lasers or incisions
Scientists are developing a possible alternative to LASIK that reshapes the cornea without cutting it or using a laser. The technique uses a small electric potential and a specially shaped platinum lens to temporarily soften the cornea, allowing it to be molded in about a minute.

...Hill and collaborator Brian Wong are studying a technique called electromechanical reshaping (EMR). Rather than physically removing tissue, EMR uses a small electric potential to temporarily alter the chemical environment inside the tissue.
"The whole effect was discovered by accident," explains Wong, a professor and surgeon at the University of California, Irvine. "I was looking at living tissues as moldable materials and discovered this whole process of chemical modification."
The approach takes advantage of the chemistry that helps tissues maintain their shape.
The cornea contains large amounts of collagen, a structural protein also found in skin, cartilage, tendons, and other tissues. Within collagen-rich tissue, electrically charged components attract one another and help hold the structure firmly in place.
Because these tissues also contain a large amount of water, applying an electric potential can change their pH. The pH scale measures how acidic or basic something is. Lowering the pH makes the tissue more acidic and temporarily weakens some of the electrical attractions that keep its structure rigid.
During that brief window, the tissue becomes easier to reshape. Once its normal pH returns, those interactions are restored and the tissue can remain in its new form.
Researchers had previously used EMR to reshape cartilage-rich rabbit ears and to modify scars and skin in pigs. The cornea was an especially intriguing target because its precise curvature determines how effectively the eye focuses light.
For the new experiments, the researchers built specialized platinum "contact lenses" designed to act as molds for the desired corneal shape.
They placed the lenses over rabbit eyeballs immersed in a saline solution intended to mimic natural tears. Because platinum conducts electricity, the lens also functioned as an electrode. When a small electric potential was applied, it produced a carefully controlled change in pH inside the cornea.
Within about a minute, the curvature of the cornea shifted to match the shape of the platinum lens.
That is roughly comparable to the amount of time involved in the laser portion of LASIK, but the experimental EMR method required no incision and potentially could use simpler, less expensive equipment.
The researchers tested the method on 12 rabbit eyeballs. Ten were treated as though they had myopia, or nearsightedness.
In every one of those "myopic" eyes, EMR changed the cornea enough to reach the intended focusing power. In practical terms, that type of optical change would be expected to improve vision if the same effect could eventually be reproduced safely in a living eye.
Importantly, the cells in the treated eyes survived the procedure. The researchers achieved this by carefully controlling the pH gradient so the chemical changes were large enough to reshape the cornea without causing excessive damage.
The experiments also hinted at another possible use.
In separate tests, researchers found that EMR might be able to reverse some chemical-caused cloudiness to the cornea -- a condition that is currently only treatable through a complete corneal transplant...
