A. G-Field Detector: Circuit # 130

B. Test Coil:

O-type telephone pick-up coil, many fine turns in 1/4" slot on about 2-1/2” mean diameter.

C. Tests:

(1) Coil rotated vertically (as shown): very little effect on dc output level of detector (some effect).

(2) Coil rotated horizontally (as shown): very strong effects on dc output level of detector.

D. Conclusions:

(1) Coil has little reaction from earth magnetic field.

(2) Coil has very strong reaction with g-fields of earth! The g-fields assume the nature of an H-field in these tests!
